Madison students are challenged to embrace their social responsibilities. Whether on campus, in the local community or abroad, JMU gives students a broader view of the world and their part in making it better. Learn More

Memorial Reflects Madison Tradition
James Madison University joined in local observances honoring America's military veterans over the weekend preceding Veterans Day. JMU's participation in the Veterans Day observances continues a Madison tradition of excellence in citizenship, service and honor. The university's ROTC program has consistently been ranked in the top five percent of more than 270 universities nationwide, and JMU alumni have a long history of military service. Maddison for Keeps

Twenty-eight Madison For Keeps awards have been made to students at risk of dropping out due to financial hardship. Gifts totaling over $175,000 have been received, but new appeals for aid arrive each day. Visit the M4K Web site and make your gift to this emergency student aid initiative. The JMU Nation has heard our call — over 200 students are at risk of dropping out due to difficult financial times. Alumni and friends are responding in record numbers, making gifts of $25, $100, $1,000 — any amount they are able — to help Dukes stay Dukes. And now, we need your help.
